My Aged Care Assessment

Service Description

Following the first session, Bernadette will return when the Aged Care Assessor comes to the home to do the assessment. There are two types of assessment that work out your care needs and what types of care you may be eligible for. This is based on the information you provide on the call when you make an appointment for an assessment. (Session One) A home support assessment with a Regional Assessment Service (RAS) will be booked if your needs are deemed to be low-level. Services provided will be through the Commonwealth Home Support Program. A comprehensive assessment with an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) may be necessary if you have care needs that are deemed higher than the Commonwealth Home Support Programme can support. Both of these assessments may take between 1 and 2 hours. Bernadette's experience will be of great benefit during this assessment process as she is very familiar with the criteria that is necessary to be approved for Government funding. Assistance with the first step of consultancy is not required to book this service.
